After extensive but fun research, friendly but serious consultation with industry professionals, and an invigorating submissions process we are proud to present the 4th program for the Gåsebäck FIlm Festival. We share with our city and the industry a tightly curated selection of independent feature films, cutting edge documentaries, and short films by our favourite new filmmakers. These films, many that are premieres in Sweden, reflect an increasingly fragmented and destabilised world. But a world full of great people. These stories show how a belief in humanity can bring people, ideas, and communities together and inspire the best in all of us. We are excited to showcase the new Helsingborg Special, bringing together films from the past, to the future, to celebrate Helsingborg’s creative filmmaking community. The story of cinema continues in Helsingborg.
Masterclasses with Emmy Winning director/DOP Juan Camillo Cruz, Q&As with Oscar nominated producer Mike Lerner, and special guest, director Malin von Euler-Hogan, represent a very exciting in-conversation program that shines a light on the processes and creative decision making filmmaking requires. While also sharing invaluable insights into the industry at large. The festival represents a rare chance to encounter new films from exciting new voices.
